Emmalene is one of our valued SPELD SA tutors who has been with us for two and a half years.

“Becoming a SPELD SA Tutor was the start of a new exciting chapter in my career. It is a progression over 20 years working in OSHC, Child Care and as an SSO educating students diagnosed with neurologic conditions and learning difficulties in mainstream classrooms."

"Through gaining a wealth of knowledge as an SSO I wanted to expand my skills and knowledge to support students and their families through an individualised, independent platform. Becoming a SPELD SA Tutor gave me the perfect opportunity to achieve this.”

“I deliver my tutoring sessions face-to-face at my client's home after school hours. The students I currently tutor range from Reception to Year 3. I have worked with students in Junior Primary when working as an SSO.”

“Everything was self-explanatory with a step-by-step process. SPELD SA staff supported me with the process, providing advice on gaining my ABN, Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance, through to guidance with policies and procedures. I am now able to see and apply for new students."

We have recently remodelled our Tutor Service to provide tutors with easy and efficient administration and guidance when setting up their businesses. Our new platform enables us to more efficiently match tutors with students. Emmalene has been part of this process.
