Assessments for learning difficulties

If you, or your child or student are having difficulties with literacy or numeracy, or both, you may be interested in a Psychological Assessment to see if there is an underlying learning difficulty, or an Academic Skills Assessment that assesses an individual's skill level at a point in time and provides strategies that can be implemented by school, parents and tutors to support their learning.

NOTE If you or your child has not had targeted literacy and/or numeracy intervention a Psychologist is not able to provide a diagnosis. This is where an Academic Skills Assessment may be more suitable as it would provide you with a report about their level of achievement, and which strategies a school or tutor should use.

After 6 months of targeted intervention a Psychological Assessment could then be conducted.

Speech Pathology Assessments

Find out exactly where your child is at with their oral language development.

We also offer speech and language assessments to identify your child’s strengths and areas needing support.

Our qualified Speech Pathologists can assess your child's receptive and expressive language skills and provide recommendations and strategies that can be used at home and at school.

This assessment can determine if an individual has a Developmental Language Disorder.
