Assessments for learning difficulties

If you, or your child or student are having difficulties with literacy or numeracy, or both, you may be interested in a Psychological Assessment to see if there is an underlying learning difficulty, and to receive clear strategies that can be implemented by school, parents and tutors to support their learning.

We offer both online and face to face appointments.

No referral is required to book an assessment.

NOTE If you or your child has not had at least six months of targeted literacy and/or numeracy intervention a Psychologist is not able to provide a diagnosis. You may wish to speak with the school about providing appropriate intervention, or you can consider engaging with private tutoring support.

Screening Assessments

Not sure if a full psycho-educational assessment is right for your child?

We can conduct a short screening assessment as part of an Educational Consult and provide clear guidance on next steps. The screener includes a written summary with recommendations that can be used to inform intervention at school or with a private tutor. If your child has an existing diagnosis, a screener can help to check their progress and provide updated recommendations.

Speech Pathology Assessments

Find out exactly where your child is at with their oral language development.

We also offer speech and language assessments to identify your child’s strengths and areas needing support.

Our qualified Speech Pathologists can assess your child's receptive and expressive language skills and provide recommendations and strategies that can be used at home and at school.

This assessment can determine if an individual has a Developmental Language Disorder.
