Strategic Government and Not-for-Profit Collaboration Delivers Key Phonics Resources for SA Schools
SPELD SA is proud to announce the release of a brand-new series of phonics books, developed in collaboration with the South Australian Government’s Literacy Guarantee Unit. This initiative is designed to support early literacy education across South Australia, ensuring every child has access to high-quality, evidence-based resources.
These resources are fully aligned with the Department for Education’s R–2 Phonics and Spelling Scope and Sequence, addressing a critical need identified in many schools. The series includes essential spelling, including morphology units for Reception and expands to cover 40 key spellings for Year 1.

Phonic Books Already in Schools – and More Available to Order
The first delivery of these phonics books, for Reception, is already reaching schools across South Australia, and additional copies are now available to order through SPELD SA. Teachers are already expressing their appreciation and excitement:
