SPELD SA Phonic Books Extended Code (Units 1-10) Set 2

These SPELD SA Phonic Books are aligned with the Sounds-Write scope and sequence, a speech-to-print approach that starts with the sounds of spoken English and gradually introduces their written forms. Each book provides multiple repetitions of target sound-spelling correspondences, supporting students in developing orthographic mapping and decoding skills to achieve automaticity and fluency.  

This 10-book set introduces beginning spellings from the Extended Code, giving children additional exposure to these important phoneme-grapheme relationships in reading. It includes the following phonemes: 

/ae/, /ee/, /oe/, /er/, /e/, /ow/, m/oo/n, /ie/, b/oo/k, /u/
