The Moon Dogs Series is designed for children 8 years+ at the very early stages of reading. Contemporary illustrations and story lines based on the adventures of a group of friends in a band, will engage and entertain.
Introducing sounds gradually at CVC level with a low word count on each page, developing to words with adjacent consonants, consonant digraphs (Extras Set 2), vowels spellings and split spellings. The phonic progression is highly structured, giving older, struggling and/or reluctant readers more age-appropriate and interesting stories to practice reading.
