A pack of four boxes suitable for whole class use:
The first contains a card for each of the 42 letter sounds and a card for each of the alternative spellings of the vowel sounds, for example, <igh>.
The second box contains 88 regular words for blending practice.
The third has 80 words with alternative spellings of the vowel sound. A grey dot underneath each sound reminds children that two letters can represent one sound, supporting blending and reading.
The fourth box contains each of the 72 tricky words on separate cards. Tricky words are frequently used words that the children cannot read and write simply by using their phonic knowledge of the 42 sounds.
