DIBELS 8th Edition 2-day Training Course ONLINE- PART 1
Suitable for teachers, special education teachers, and anyone focused on improving literacy for all students.
This 2-day online training will be conducted via Zoom and will start at 8:30 am - Australian central time (Adelaide - South Australia)

DIBELS 8th Edition is a battery of brief (one-minute) fluency-based measures that can be used for universal screening, benchmark assessment and progress monitoring from Foundation to Year 8. It is based on trusted scientific evidence, research-based practices, and decades of experience in teaching and learning.
Training includes: Learning how to use the University of Oregon’s free assessment materials (DIBELS 8th Edition Materials | DIBELS® (uoregon.edu) which include Letter Naming Fluency (LNF), Phonemic Segmentation Fluency (PSF), Nonsense Word Fluency (NWF), Word Reading Fluency (WRF), Oral Reading Fluency (ORF) and Maze, as well as an introduction to data-based decision making using DIBELS 8th Edition data. It will assist you with:
- Understanding the theoretical rationale and purpose for the use of DIBELS 8th Edition.
- Understanding the rationale for releasing DIBELS 8th Edition and learn about key subtest updates.
- Becoming reliable DIBELS 8th Edition assessors and understand the administration and scoring procedures to collect reliable, valid student performance data.
Interstate participants please be aware SPELD SA is unable to mark off participation for interstate educational accreditation (eg NESA & TQI)
