For psychologists, provisional psychologists and postgradute psychology students.
This 3-hour workshop will provide a framework for:
- planning a comprehensive assessment for a child with writing difficulties (drawing mainly on the WIAT-III)
- diagnostic decision making, including differential diagnoses
- identifying and tailoring appropriate interventions, informed by assessment results
We will also focus on:
- using limits-testing to develop sound recommendations
- incorporating test of handwriting and executive function
- collaboration with other allied health professionals
- accommodations for older students
