We provide reading and spelling support for students, delivered by experienced teachers, using a high quality, research-backed, specialised program.
Our Clinic is a dedicated space for one-to-one support with our qualified practitioners so your child can gain the skills and confidence they need to develop their literacy skills.

• Falling behind in their literacy development
• Struggling to read accurately and fluently
• Making frequent spelling errors, particularly in written expression
• Displaying a reluctance to participate in literacy-based activities
• Compensating when reading, by guessing from pictures, initial letters or the ‘look’ of a word
• Having difficulty remembering the relationships between sounds and letters
• Experiencing poor self-esteem, particularly in relation to literacy activities
• Suspected or diagnosed with a learning difficulty, such as dyslexia

Meet our Team
Angelik
Manager of Literacy Clinic and
Speech Pathology.
Angelik is an enthusiastic, dedicated and bubbly speech pathologist and holds a Master of Speech Pathology. With over 15 years of experience, she has worked in community health, private practice, schools, not-for-profit organisations and has been a placement educator through Flinders University.
Angelik enjoys working with students as well as guiding families to better understand how to support their child with their reading and spelling development.
Genine
Genine, an experienced educator in Victoria and South Australia, specialises in teaching English as an Additional Language or Dialect.
Her enthusiasm for effective reading and spelling instruction, sparked by Sounds-Write training, drives the program's success in both whole-class and intervention settings at SPELD SA.
Jacqui
Jacqui is a dedicated teacher with a passion for supporting students with learning difficulties. With 15 years of experience teaching in both public and private schools, as well as tutoring, she has spent over 8 years at SPELD SA and 7 years as a specialist reading teacher at her local school.
Jacqui is skilled at modifying programs and sessions to meet the diverse needs of her students, ensuring they receive personalised support. She takes great joy in watching her students grow and succeed in their unique ways.
Kylie
Kylie has over 25 years of experience as an educator in Singapore, England, and Adelaide. As much as she enjoyed the challenge of beginning with SPELD SA as an educational presenter in 2021, Kylie missed supporting students with their learning.
So, she now combines roles – supporting educators to build their skills and understandings through professional development and working with families and students in the Literacy Clinic.
Megan
Megan is an experienced teacher with 15 years of dedication to providing high-quality instruction and support to learners of all ages. Throughout her career, she has taught across all year levels, thriving in both face-to-face and online teaching environments.
As a specialist phonics teacher, Megan uses her expertise to help students build strong literacy foundations, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed. Her happy and positive personality brings fun and energy to every lesson and helps to put students at ease.
Tina
Tina is a dedicated and experienced reading and spelling practitioner with over 20 years in both school and private settings. Known for being caring and supportive, she creates a fun and engaging environment that inspires students to succeed.
Tina is passionate about helping students overcome learning challenges and making meaning fun progress.
